Discovery Rule (Asbestos-Related Claims):

"A civil action for any injury to the person or rights of another resulting from exposure to, including asbestos-containing products, shall be deemed to accrue on the first date the injured party, through reasonable diligence, should have reason to discover the injury giving rise to such civil action." Ala.Code 1975 § 6-2-30(b)

Negligence/Personal Injury:

Most civil actions for negligence or personal injury are covered by a two year statute of limitations. Ala. Code 1975 § 6-2-38.

Wrongful Death:

Wrongful death actions must be commenced within 2 years of the person's death by their personal representative. Ala. Code 1975 § 6-5-410(a)-(d).
